I’m on vacation this week, so in lieu of a regular newsletter, I give you a task.

One of the best things someone ever did for me was after a hard week. They asked me to take a walk around the block with them and asked, “Hey, lots has happened this week. You doing allright?”

We get very busy with all our tasks and jobs and deadlines. With Harvey, DACA stuff, just about everything lately, it’s been pretty emotionally tiring for everyone.

So, because it’s a Friday, before a holiday weekend, grab someone, whether it’s a direct report, a colleague or a new hire and just ask “How has this week been? Can I help you with something?”
